Dr Umesh Ramnanan

General Practitioner, MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Ramnanan was born in Durban, South Africa and medically trained in India.

He has been working in the southeast Queensland region for over 22 years. For the past 18 years he has been practicing at Goombungee Family Practice.

Dr Ramnanan has a special interest in skin lesions.

Registered Nurse

Julie completed her registered nurse training at St Vincent’s Hospital in 1991 and has worked at numerous locations within the Toowoomba region. In 2005, she commenced at Goombungee Family Practice and thoroughly enjoys her varied workload.

Julie has a special interest in women’s health.

Maggie joined GFP in 2023 and enjoys the behind-the-scenes admin operations and providing welcoming, positive patient interaction.

In her spare time Maggie enjoys spending time with her family, taking the dog swimming in the creek and enjoying a coffee.

Rebecca Appleton

Receptionist

Rebecca joined GFP in late 2024. A former Vet Nurse with a background in Community Pharmacy, Rebecca enjoys welcoming old and new patients into the clinic. In her spare time, you can find Rebecca spending time with her family, spoiling her animals, gardening and travelling!

After Hours Service

Call the practice number (07) 4696 5333 and press OPTION 2 to be transferred to the Doctor. Fees apply for telephone consultations and for Dr to attend the practice if required.

We are a mixed billing practice.
Bulk billing is available for

  • Pensioner Concession Card holders
  • Veteran (DVA) Card holders
  • Healthcare Card holders
  • Children 16 years and under
